Coaching can’t change the world, but it will change you
It seems to be a self-evident truth, that the world we live in today is volatile, unpredictable and, at times, scary. War in the Middle East. Climate and environmental breakdown. The cost of living. Political uncertainty. Rioting in the streets and in our communities. The far right on the march.
Against this backdrop, we show up at work everyday in a sometimes seemingly Sisyphean effort to stem the rising tide, and keep the boulder from rolling back down the hill. As charity leaders and workers, we know the responsibility we choose to embrace, and that what we do is often the difference between some of the most vulnerable people in our society having nothing, or having enough to survive.
The rates of burnout in the charity sector are shocking, with 9 in 10 workers reporting having experienced stress and overwhelm in the previous 12 months, and 82% of charity leaders worrying about their staff burning out.
Whilst it’s true that none of us can change the fundamental nature of world we live in, with the uncertainty and volatility which is seemingly baked in, but we can change how we exist within it.
If you feel like you’re drowning, running on the hamster wheel day after day, exhausted from another 50-60 hour week, then we need to talk.
You deserve to experience the many benefits which working with a coach will bring you – increased self-awareness, reframing your perspective, the time and space to see beneath the surface, a reduction in stress.
What have you got to lose?
